~~~~~ EDIT 08/16/2010: Improved the background, redrew Roxas' face, redrew Axel's hair (if you don't remember...it was so flat and icky and gross), added more blood lmfao, Redrew the fire.
Holy shit, it's done. This took around 15-18ish hours to finish X____x oh god, the file is so huge it isn't funny.
i love this to bits. Seriously, I do. If I could marry it (and make it feel better), I so would.
The fire was...interesting to do. I was actually considering to use some stock photos for the fire, but I decided to hell with that, homemade fire is the best kinda fire >D I don't think it turned out too bad <3
Oh, and about Oblivion..I decided to leave it out. After much self-debate, I concluded that having Oblivion in the picture just doesn't make the picture look as fluid and complete. oh well :3
Holy crap, there are fan fiction going out to this fan art. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Beautiful re-do of an already wonderful picture. The flames are extremely realistic to the point of transparency at the top, which is wonderful. Despite the typical 'fanart' style, the blood and cuts are very well portrayed, and give the scene gravity that the actual game sequence lacks. Very rarely does one single picture tell such a complete story like this one does. I love the depth provided by the windows and pillars that stretch on into the background, like the effect created by a sudden zoom-in sequence in a film. I also really like how Roxas's hair is pushed aside by Axel's face as he kisses him. Gives a much more soft, lifelike look to Roxas's usually gravity-defying spikes.
I love this drawing! Saw it around several places & always wondered who had drawn it. It's so beautiful, powerful & sad at the same time. Looks like one hell of a nasty battle!
This is one of the most beautiful pieces of work I have ever seen. I really wish there would've been something similar to this in the game. I feel like Axel should've fought harder to keep Roxas there, made him realize how selfish he was being.
i just realized that i have your old one and now i have your new one that is here now howw funny i look at the way they are done and wow on both very well done
