Commission for the lovely :iconevilitachi: of her two OCs, Yami and Verax.

Yami is the raven-haired vampire with a penchant for killing off those who he declares are of no value to him and has no interest in anything other than being in possession of his mate, Verax. Verax is the redheaded vampire wielding the double ended scythe; his personality is quite far from his mate's, as he can be lazy and easily distracted. However, he too possesses a violent streak and a cold attitude.

Thank you again for letting me draw your characters :iconhurrplz::heart:!

Obviously you were practicing your lighting. Be reminded on where the light is going, and where the shadows would be in contrast. I would also say that unless the room was big enough for just the two of them and the furniture they are using, the shadows would be more in tune with everything. Especially since those are candles they are using. Don't get me wrong, candles are an excellent source of light, but with that many candles and that large of a room (at least, I imagine it's a large room, more like an old abandoned cathedral) they items wouldn't be that brightly illuminated. I also understand the surreal-ness, but to me, the characters look like they are cosplaying and posing. Perhaps a more natural posture for the red-head? Now that I'm staring at it, I believe that a different angle probably would have been better for this. But that's just my art teacher screeching at me. I hope this wasn't too mean.....

A very nice piece. With so many sources of light, the shadow work is quite good. The only things I see that could use a bit of work (in my personal opinion, which DISCLAIMER could be totally stupid) are the shadows on the two topmost skulls and a bit of contrast work. The foreshortening on some of the limbs doesn't quite line up with the "eye" on the piece. In summation, the only bad things I have to say about this are nit picky and small since it is without a doubt overall a very well crafted piece of art.

They are so cool. I love the dramatic lighting, it makes the whole piece more intense.

I like especially how you handle the light sources and the shadows with such cluttered scene, that isn't easy without some significant mistakes usually.
Only concrit is ion the light on the faces in't reflected on the torsos, that much light upwards should make highlights and shadows on their torsos. Otherwise very good.
